Character design workshop:
CONNECTIONS
Saturday, June 8 from 10 AM to 12:30 PM
We are excited to announce our fourth Character Design Workshop, presented by returning guest teacher HARRY WISNER and facilitated by Catherine Carter.
The theme for this workshop is CONNECTIONS. We will go beyond the use of a single figure and discover how to develop our story-telling by combining two, three or more characters into one drawing. The relationship dynamic between characters can enhance their personalities and expand the creative possibilities. We will use colored pencils and markers for our illustrations, in a class format that includes demonstrations, group practice sessions, and personal creation time.
Harry Wisner has been developing his own characters for more than 10 years. He is currently finishing up his senior year of high school at Bristol Community College, and has studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, the Marion Art Center, Candace French Design, and here at Catherine Carter Art School. His career goal is a position as an elementary school art teacher.
Tuition is $69 and includes all materials.
There is a limit of 8 students per workshop.
